Advice on Starting a Machine Learning Effort at Your Start-Up/Company

I started the modern machine learning effort at Coinbase, with a focus on building sustainable fraud & risk prevention models, scalable AutoML frameworks that deal with tabular data, as well as state-of-the-art Transformers-based sequence models.
