Hi there!
My wife and I created the cheekily named "Shit the Bed" hot sauce back in 2015 for a laugh and it blew up online. $250k in crowd funding later and I've since lost count of the number of times we've gone viral online... you can see here a few examples (http://tinyurl.com/zg44qul).
The funny name is the hook and the customers keep coming back for the taste. The flavour comes from the ingredients... we've kept true to our roots as production has grown and we continue to avoid the use of preservatives, thickeners, no concentrates etc. and use this as a marketing pitch (Ingredients : http://tinyurl.com/jctubnr)
Online is huge for us and we have a cultish and engaged online following which is growing rapidly. https://www.facebook.com/Bunstersworldwide/
As at 2017 I'm signing new distributors across Australia and are looking to use these distributors to get a good retail reach. I am refining a repeatable process which I can apply to USA when we enter there in the near future. About half of our online sales currently come from the USA.
I'm all about standardising and outsourcing all repeatable tasks, we've already got offshore people working on our marketing, design, customer service, accounting, production... I want to create a machine not be a machine.
In 2017 we're signing up new distributors across Australia and are pushing into retail stores, improving our direct-to-customer funnel through FB ads, introducing a brand extension into chilli chocolate, and standardising more operations - finance and video production are next.
I've been handling it all myself up to now and I think it is time to get some mentorship from people who have been there before.
Thank you in advance for your time.
