Brent is an exceptional project manager and a great team player that loves getting his hand dirty with code. His unique analytics skills and excellent technical background allow him to clearly communicate even the most complex issues in a simple manner. His clear understanding of the institute mission and up to the second knowledge of any trending technologies, and good practices has inspired numerous new and innovative projects (MIT Video, MIT Connect, etc.) in the Institute and in MIT Technology Review.
His great roadmap planning abilities, clear understanding of the user experience design and always well define projects scope, have kept us on the tracks of success, the word “failure” was just a science fiction term.
Brent – He is just a great guy and I look forward to any opportunities in the future to work with him again. I recommend him for any position, I know that he will be great at it or he just would not consider it.
Source: LinkedIn private private Mar 19, 2013We worked with Brent to build out a custom video portal for the MIT Enterprise Forum. Brent's leadership of the overall project from the client side ensured not only a smooth implementation process but also a cohesive vision for the finished product that made it easy as a vendor to deliver great work.
Source: LinkedIn Ray Pawulich Mar 19, 2013Simply put: Brent is one of a kind. He and I partnered together at Ogilvy PR where he led our Interactive / Digital Technology group and was a great counter balance to my creative and digital approach to our business, our clients and our internal group.
Brent is naturally inquisitive; always questioning the solutions he provides within his varying industry experiences. His nature and brilliance as a Marketing Technologist is truly invaluable. Transcending common (and historically impossible) silos across the creative and technological continuum, Brent approaches digital problems that bridge these processes to first identify the core issues (as a business analysis), secondly to identify the core tenets of a both clients' business and communications goals as well as running his own business (as a Senior Business Executive) and thirdly in application and development of digital properties (from his breadth of knowledge and management of technology + development).
Having this ability to not only envision a deeply rooted strategy, pitch that strategy, and then build that strategy are extremely rare and hard to find. He is a great manager, trusted partner and one hell of a guy.
We have worked and collaborated together many times. It'd be in your interest to work with him as well.
Source: LinkedIn peter c. andrews Mar 19, 2013As a coworker, Brent is the consummate team player. When things go right, it’s usually because Brent is leading the project. If things go wrong, you can count on Brent to come in, fix things, and deliver. He’s someone who sees the big picture but doesn’t lose track of those “make it or break it” details. I’ve seen him singlehandedly bring large projects back on track because, while leading a team, Brent takes the time to work with each individual. He’s able to unite large groups and manage teams to deliver products, solutions, and ideas.
Brent has also been a great mentor to me. While working together at Boathouse, he took the time to share his expertise in marketing technology, production, and communications. This is something Brent does on a consistent basis – he’s always the “go-to” guy. His enthusiasm and professionalism are contagious.
As a colleague, I hold Brent in very high esteem. He’s always on top of digital trends, and in my opinion, he’s the perfect balance of creativity, technology, marketing, and problem solving. He’s someone who brings successful solutions to every project – no matter how challenging or near-impossible those projects may seem.
I worked with Brent for 2.5 years and have known him for a total of four. Over that time, I’ve been fortunate to call Brent a coworker, colleague, and mentor. I can’t recommend him enough.
Source: LinkedIn Katie Cisto Mar 19, 2013Brent's ability to understand the big picture as well the details of every project he works on is pretty uncanny. His strategic vision is insightful, his technical know-how is extensive, and his ability to communicate them both clearly is rare. The fact that he is one of the nicest guys you'd ever meet is just icing on the cake.
Source: LinkedIn Gregg Lavine Mar 19, 2013Working with Brent is always a pleasure - as a marketing technologist he has deep knowledge of project processes and digital development that has enabled us to create elegant/innovative solutions to some very complex client problems.
We've worked together on dozens of projects over the past 10 years, always with stellar results, over-delivering on goals and bringing new ideas to the table to create more efficient, stable products for my client assignments.
As a creative designer in production, it's great to work with someone like Brent, who offers a wide-range of skills that make him an invaluable asset to any team looking for superior results and getting help to bond a collaborative effort to build better web and fresh new media experiences every day. Brent is one of the rare breeds of people who can achieve results at all levels.
Source: LinkedIn Leigh Chodos Mar 19, 2013Brent is one of the most creative and professional people I know. He has a multidisciplinary approach that integrates sharp design with smart technology and high impact marketing. Working with Brent, you find that you've never have more fun.
Source: LinkedIn Vijay Rajendran Mar 19, 2013Brent Turner is a proactive thinker. There was never a time where I turned to Brent and he said to me "that can't be done" he always said "I think we could make it work" or "yes let's do it!"
Brent is well rounded in the working world and pretty much knows a little bit about everything else. He was a pleasure to work with as well as a great manager.
