Benoit started his career at IBM, Belgium, where he was the youngest salesman. He moved a year to North Carolina to successfully restructure a telecom company. He moved to New York to create a marketing subsidiary for the Belgian Telindus Group. He founded Beninvest to focus on international business development and alternative investments: hedge funds, private equity and real estate. As a hobby, he published the first English buyer’s guide of prestigious wristwatches in the world and distributed it in 48 countries. The company was sold in 2.000. He was a partner in the creation of the US based merchant bank of the Hinduja Group. He currently advises iAnthus Capital, Tone Mobile, 365Force, RW Partners and the Carlyle Development Group.
He was a longtime advisor for Foreign Trade to the Belgian Government and director of the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce in NY.
He graduated in applied economics from ICHEC in Brussels. He is fluent in English, Dutch/Flemish, French and conversational in German.
