Through intentional planning and taking action, I have navigated my career across five industries - Banking, Consulting, Social Impact, International Development, Government - and four countries - Canada, US, UK, Benin, including multiple promotions. Getting here was not easy. I used to feel unsettled. Like an actor going on the stage of life, playing the part of someone who looked and talked like me but wasn’t quite "me". Who I was at my core was out of sync with the person I was “acting as” in my daily life. So I asked myself - what is the kind of person I want to be? How does this future self manifest across different parts of life - what does this person do for a living? how does this person show up for their friends and family? what does this person do for fun and self-care?
