I have led the development and commercialisation of $100m’s of new products across global markets.
I am the founder and CEO of TTIP, the global innovation consulting, training and networking group.
I am a widely published expert in business growth through innovation and author of the ‘Innovation for Business Leaders’ series of books; ‘Transforming Technology into Profit’, ‘Cracking the Innovation Code’ and ‘Building a Culture of Innovation’.
I teach MBA and Exec MBA students at several top international business schools, including Warwick Business School, on the subject of unlocking innovation to drive business growth.
During my career, I have led technology, new business development, operations, and have many years of P&L responsibility. I have sat on the board of multiple international companies and as a strategic advisor, I have worked with several billion-dollar multinational industrial companies and have significant multi-sector experience.
I have launched several new businesses across Asia, built a number of new manufacturing facilities in China, turned round struggling operations in the US and relocated and re-engineered many manufacturing lines across the world.
I have spent 20 years doing business in Asia, including over 6 years living in China, so understand well the challenges and opportunities of doing business there for Westerners. My recent book, ‘The Biggest City You’ve Never Heard Of’, documents the challenges of life and business as an expat in China.
I am a regular keynote speaker at conferences, events and business schools on the subjects of ‘how to drive business growth through innovation’ and ‘doing business in China’.
