Andrew Chen is a blogger and entrepreneur focused on consumer internet, metrics and user acquisition. He is an advisor/angel for early-stage startups including Appsumo, Cardpool (acquired by Safeway), Catchfree, Grovo, Mocospace, Launchbit, Qik (acquired by Skype), WeeWorld, Votizen, and is also a 500 Startups mentor. Previously, he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Mohr Davidow Ventures (MDV), a Silicon Valley-based firm with $2B under management. At MDV, Andrew pursued initiatives in digital media and advertising and helped source internet investments for the firm.
Prior to MDV, Andrew was director of product marketing at Audience Science, where he started up the ad network business that today reaches over 380 million uniques. He led the product team to grow the network to thousands of publishers with over 5 billion ads served per month and led the company’s relationships with MySpace and Yahoo, two of Audience Science’s most strategic partners. In addition, Andrew played key roles in winning the company’s initial brand advertising clients, which today include dozens of top-tier publishers including AOL, IAC, ESPN, Washington Post, among others. He also co-authored a patent on personalized advertising, USPTO #7,882,175.

He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington.
