Andre Arrivabene is a business Strategy and project management expert and enthusiast, with a strong background on planning and controlling large and complex projects and programs. He develop his career in project management for the last 15 years helping companies to develop and establish planning and controlling procedures for major projects and programs. His areas of expertise encompass projects in areas such as IT, Oil & Gas and Mining industries, where his track record accumulates more than USD 6.5 bi in projects and programs managed and coached.
He was one of the first professionals in Latin America to obtain the PgMP credential from PMI, and currently serves as a subject matter expert for the PMI PgMP Panel Review Committee, working with a global team for the PMI Global Operations Center. Andre also held several other volunteer positions since 2009 at local PMI Chapters, Communities of Practice and at PMI's Global Operations Center.
Andre is a professor on project management post-graduate courses in Brazil and is frequently speaking about project and program management at congresses and seminars.
Andre was a contributing author for the book “Program Management, A Life Cycle Approach” (CRC Press, 2012, USA). He is the author of the Earned Risk Management method, designed to monitor the performance of risk response plans.
He holds an MBA in Business Management from UFRJ, an Advanced Project Management Certificate from Stanford University and is currently enrolled in the MLA in Management at Harvard University Extension School.
