I built my reputation via ExpatWomen.com - the largest global website helping women living overseas - sold in 2014. The site attracted big name sponsorship from HSBC, Barclays Wealth, SIRVA Relocation and more. Awesome experience in building an online community via blogger outreach and community newsletters.
ExpatWomen.com was a niche site, but thanks to some clever blogger outreach campaigns (one of which even took us above Wikipedia on Google for the term "expat"!), five years of quality community newsletters, and some smart online strategies, I grew our site to almost 15,000 members and 50,000+ unique visitors per month, worldwide. If you are targeting a specific online community and would love to know what worked and didn't work for me, I would love to help you here.
In April 2014, I sold ExpatWomen to an expat investor in the UAE. Press Release: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2014/04/prweb11799583.htm
I co-authored and self-published the book "Expat Women: Confessions" - 50 Real-Life Answers to Your Questions about Living Abroad" (bulk copies available to corporates and relocation companies, minus the word "Confessions") and have been a guest speaker at events in Australia, Mexico, Morocco, Singapore, Malaysia, the US and the Netherlands.
For the last 6 years or so, I've been doing marketing, content, startups, and more. See https://www.linkedin.com/in/andreamartins/
Ask me anything. I'll try my very best to help you. :)
