Unless you're curing cancer or solving the issue of world hunger (and perhaps even then) I believe the way that you present your company in writing should be human, approachable, and conversational. In creating the ClickTracks product we knew we had something pretty special, and we knew that PR would be an integral part of the marketing mix. However finding the right person for PR is very tricky. You have to completely trust them to correctly represent your company and your brand and message to members of the press, and you won't be present when those conversations take place.
I therefore was very careful in the selection process. The moment I met Amy I had a good feeling about the work she would produce, and she went on to wildly exceed my expectations. As the company grew she just continued to excel in every way, getting us good coverage in places that matter to our customers. She was always one step ahead of the trends in what our customers were reading, and made sure we became part of that story.
