Accomplishments:
1) Reducing the number of schedule misses/shorts/splits caused by Specials by 80%.
2) Dropped Specials MFG DPPM from 10,500 to 4,000 in less than 6 months.
3) Developed a new pilot review process for complex special orders to eliminate errors on the customer order. This process enables us to identify/fix all the issues on large quantity orders before the customer orders hit manufacturing.
4) Developed Strategic Customer Mockup process in order to get mockups shipped on-time with high quality in order to bring more business in-house. This process built a fantastic collaboration between manufacturing and design group that resulted many major account wins.
5) Started Service-Now process for Steelcase Manufacturing plant with the goal of increasing the accountability for support groups and tracking issues. The visibility that came out of this project has started many A3s, new projects, and process improvements.
6) Developed/Managed a BOM validation tool project for our specials’ design/engineering team: This tool will compare CAD model with Delta BOM and make sure they match by a click of a button under 6 seconds. The tool will be used globally at Steelcase (North America, Asia, Europe and South America)
