Alex Shebar is the Senior Community Director for Yelp in Chicago, working his way up from Community Manager of Cinncinati, Ohio and also Community Director of Yelp in London. Yelp is the largest local review website in the world with over 150 million people coming to the site each month from around the world. At this job, he spent time working online with localization and community building as well as offsite with amazing events and large scale marketing plans. He did everything from London's first micro-pig picnic (called "The Pignic") to an adult's only ice cream festival which helped raise thousands for local charities. Previously, he was also a beat reporter for Cincinnati's largest newspaper, The Cincinnati Enquirer, as we as Director of Communication for one of the city's oldest member's clubs in Hyde Park.
