Alaina Herrington, MSN, RN, CHSE, CNOR, has been a nurse for almost 13 years working in multiple areas such as perioperative nursing, nurse management, human resources, and nurse recruitment. She is the founding Simulation Center Coordinator for a stand-alone, 8000 square foot Simulation Center, which opened in January 2014. She was selected as a National League for Nursing (NLN) 2015 Simulation Leader. She is a Society of Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) Accreditation Site Review and a Certified Healthcare in Simulation Educator (CHSE) Reviewer. She is the co-chair elect of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) HomeGrown Solution Selection Committee. She has been successful in securing sustainability funds for her sim center through grant writing, consulting, and hosting regional training workshops. She also has presented across the country at numerous simulation conferences. Alaina's goal is to help others problem solve and develop their simulation programs.
