In my 10 years of experience as a lawyer, I had worked as a public prosecutor (later become a coordinator of the work process) at Kaffa Zone Gewata Woreda, and now I am working as a legal specialist at Ethio Telecom. Additionally, I have been working as regional legal manager for different occasions by a delegation here at Ethio Telecom. My current responsibilities include overseeing, leading, and supporting attorneys and administrators, representing the employer before Judicial and quasi-judicial bodies, following up on civil and criminal cases to protect the interest of the employer, conducting research, and giving legal advice to cross-functional teams and the management. Since 2018, I am working as a member of the Ethio telecom Southern region Human Resources Discipline, Transfer, and promotion committee member on behalf of the Labor union. Accordingly, I support my teams to give sound decisions at the right time thereby minimizing workplace disagreements, with a focus on rapid recruitment and selection of high-quality and motivated (goal-oriented) staff.
Throughout my experience, I got a chance to face real-life legal problems, thereby developing valuable skills and solid experiences in Protecting Human Rights, high-profile cases management, legal document preparation, legal consultation, and litigation all of which require a high level of diplomacy, communication, and convincing skills, and sound judgment. Additionally, I developed valuable skills in Leadership and management skills especially the ability to lead and communicate effectively with team members of varied work styles; organizing, research and analytical skills; Interpersonal and negotiation skills; meet deadlines under pressure with flexibility and creativity in planning and problem-solving; have a proven ability to learn quickly, take initiative, be accountable for results, understand the larger picture while remaining focused on the details; work within complex security and political situation, and follow strict security protocols, and work independently and as part of a team are essential Computer literate especially in Microsoft Office and IT Enterprise applications
