I have conducted research in AI at Carnegie Mellon University (from which I hold an MS) and the University of Maryland (where I am currently pursuing a PhD). My focus is on Reinforcement Learning, but I can also discuss other forms of Machine Learning, including many types of Supervised and Unsupervised Learning.

Before becoming a full-time researcher as I am now, I worked at a few different tech startups across multiple industries. I used various machine learning techniques in the real world. Thus, I bring to bear my industry experience and familiarity with the needs of a business and knowledge of the cutting-edge.

My research topics also include explainable AI, human-computer interaction and robotics, and my software engineering experience includes software architecture, frontend, backend, devops, and sys-admin work.
