I've spent years coaching people through high-stakes spoken communication — helping them go from anxious and stumbling to clear and composed in front of an audience. I regularly design and conduct oral assessments and interview-style evaluations, which means I spend hours watching people freeze, ramble, lose their train of thought, or over-apologize under pressure — and I coach them back to clarity in real time. I know exactly what a nervous speaker sounds like, and exactly which small adjustments make the biggest difference. I also spent time in a learner-facing coaching role, working directly with students and parents through difficult, high-stakes conversations — explaining, persuading, reassuring, and adjusting my message on the fly depending on who was in front of me. That role was really public speaking training in disguise: reading a room, thinking on my feet, and staying calm and articulate even when the conversation got tense. I'm fluent and confident communicating in English, and much of my coaching focuses specifically on helping non-native or less-confident English speakers find their voice — building fluency under pressure, not just vocabulary. I care about this because I've seen how much a person's career and self-image can shift once they stop dreading the moment they have to speak up. My approach isn't generic "stand up straight and smile" advice. It's practical: how to structure what you're saying so nerves have less room to derail you, and how to recover gracefully in the moment when you do stumble — because everyone does.
