Clarity is a marketplace for business advice. We make it easy for you to find, schedule and pay for expert advice over the phone to grow your business.
How does it work?
1. Search for experts
We have high standards. Search through our extensive lineup of over 9,000 top professionals in just about any given field who are there to help make your problems a thing of the past. Clarity experts are available to help you with anything from design and copywriting to structuring deals or raising funding. You can search by expertise, industry or job title.
2. Schedule a call
Once you've selected an expert, pick the date and time that works best for you from the 3 options we present. The experts' per minute rate is highly visible, to help you determine how long you’d like to talk. Submit your request, and within 48 hours, you’ll receive a confirmation. Experts are evaluated by how promptly they respond, so you should hear back soon after you submit your request.
3. Get your problem solved
Ever try emailing someone for advice? You ask five questions and you get a reply which barely answers one. Then the email thread continues for another week only to lead to more confusion. There’s nothing like getting on the phone and getting your questions answered right now. Sometimes it’s solved before time runs out on the call, and you can bring up other things you might want to talk about. Getting to the bottom of whatever issue you’re dealing with, over the phone, with a helpful professional is a huge relief and is a great experience for both sides of the conversation.
How are the experts selected?
All experts verify their credentials using LinkedIn and submit a completed profile for review. We only accept experts that we feel have the right experience and expertise to help our business members. All experts are ranked based on responsiveness, quality, and reviews.
How do I find experts on Clarity?
The best way is to search using keywords such as a skill, industry or area of expertise.
If you still need help you can try submitting your business challenge and we'll recommend some folks for you that we've approved and know can help you out.
How does Clarity make money?
We charge a 15% fee to the expert for each call. 5% goes to cover transaction fees and infrastructure cost. 10% goes to growing the business. Our experts gets the rest.
How much do Clarity calls cost?
The average call on Clarity last 30 minutes and cost around $50 dollars ($1.66/min). When you request a call, you'll be asked to provide a credit card, however your card will not be charged until the call is completed. You'll only be charged for the time both you and the expert are on the call.

Who’s going to be calling me?
You’ll be talking to a variety of people, but callers will mostly consist of entrepreneurs, business owners, freelancers, and executives who need your advice and feedback based on your expertise.
What if I’m not available?
Being available is an important part of being one of our experts, but we understand, things come up. Sometimes, you may even get pretty busy with callers and may be unreachable until you get caught up. A couple options you’ll have:
- You can remove yourself from the search so you become hidden.
- You can also set your status to unavailable, which lets people subscribe to be notified when you become available again.
Being responsive and available is very important to your ranking within our directory.
How much should I charge?
That really depends on your experience and demand for your time. Rates vary, of course, but the average 30 min call works out to about $50, which is approx. $100 per hour. Many experts start off lower, and increase their rate based on demand.
How do I get more calls?
The best way is to promote your profile in your email signature, on your blog or on social media (i.e. LinkedIn or Twitter). Also, we promote experts who have completed profiles, get lots of profile views, are responsive to request and are active (logging in weekly) on Clarity.
How do I export my balance?
We use PayPal, so whenever you have a balance and wish to extract it - just go under your account and export balance.
Do I need to charge?
Not at all. However, we only accept paid experts in our public directory. Anyone can use Clarity to create a profile URL that they can promote themselves, however, we require an hourly rate to be set to be listed in our directory to manage quality.
Can I donate my proceeds to charity?
Absolutely! That's one of the first features we added when we created Clarity. To donate your proceeds to charity, just update your profile to include a charity and we'll mark all future calls so that you know how much you've raised for them. This also shows up on your profile so members will know.
